This is a private lake. Police will arrest non-members and they will be prosecuted for trespassing.

Farrinfton lake has some great crappie fishing. While most are in the 4-8 inch range, I caught many in the 10 -15 range. My favorite rig is a 2 inch fin-s in \"Rainbow\" on a 1/32 or 1/16 ounce jig. When fishing from one of the bridges (Church Lane or Washington Ave.) I make a loop cast under the bridge and very slowly retreive the jig. The idea is to get as far under the bridge as you can. I catch crappies all year long as long as there\'s no ice. In the winter it must be a very, very slow retrieve, letting the jig go as deep as possible.

This lake has taken a hit in recent years as an infestation of waterchestnuts had taken over. This year I noticed that the weeds were less adoundant so i am assumming that it was sprayed with something... the fish are still existent however the population has gone way down and will take a few years to re populate.

Vernon Valley Lake is a private lake where trespassers have been known to be arrested. They are very strict there.

Quite a restful day at the lake . Started off by catching a 7 inch Sunfish on a spinner , than trolled and picked up 3 Largemouth BASS 3 TO 5 POUNDERS , SWITCHED TO WORMS AND CAUGHT 5 CATFISH GOOD SIZE ABOUT 2 1/2 POUNDERS . great SHALLOW LAKE FOR CRAPPIES ALSO CAUGHT A FEW OF THEM . CLOUDY DAY WITH A BRIEF SHOWER .
