went out on big carnelian today. My friend and I fished for about one and a half hours. It was ok, by the end of the day we had caught three large mouth bass, and one northern. Today we used spinner baits and buzz baits;tomorrow i\'m going out again and I think I will jig. I\'ll try to post again tomorrow.

October 30th, 2012 - Burntside Lake

Water temps are around 49 degrees and water levels are down 2.5 feet.Fishing is best on bright sunny,calm days.The more agressive smallmouth will move up to the big sand flats with scatterd weed growth and hit hard.Strand up jig and minnow,spider jigs with slow movements.Most of the smallmouth have moved to deeper water 25 feet,suspended over 40 feet and are following the smelt.Look for them in the first break between the depths and shallows,slow trolling or drift live bait on a slider rig. 1 hour before sunset and into the night,fish lighted bobbers in the back bays 1-5 feet,for big pike and monster smallmouth.

Caught some LM chasing minnows and always by weedbeds. We fished mostly the very upper part of the lake on the MN side. The best fishing was around small current breaks with weeds and especially when we saw minnows being chased.

Water temp 70 A few depth 25\' mid-day suspended feeding on smelt bait balls-jig and gulp smelt Numbers of 15 - 19 inch with this nice 23.25 inch .5\'-15\' mid- day senkos,hula grubs jig and a leech on rock weedline with deep water close by.The back bays produced the most bass with a few Northerns.Crawfish and largemouth fry were the main bait expelled by the bass.Live bait is a must this time of year due to the large amount of forage.Check out the Bever dams,with top water lures during low light periods.They are starting to put on the feedbag now,with the bite lasting most of the day.Water is very clear due to low water levels,about 22 feet clear.

fished Kelso 8/15/2012-8/17/2012. Fishing was poor. Just a hand full of small Northern (about 1-2 lbs) Nothing else. Lake is shallow

We fished Sawbill on 8\\17\\2012. Caught some good eyes lot of small ones. Better fishing then other near by lakes.

We fished Sawbill on 8/17/2012. Had good luck. Lot of small eyes but some good ones mixed in. Sawbill was head and shoulders better fishing than neighboring lakes.
