Cold and overcast morning. Water temp 41.5 degrees in Caney Creek cove. Water level was up some. Marked scattered fish deep16-18 feet. Marked more around timber at varying depths. No luck working suspending jerkbaits at different retrieves, jigs, jigs with trailers, and spinner baits.

Wasnt out but three hours and had 8 crappie and two bass. This was last weekend when it was warm and rainy. Fog was so bad on the water. It was great to just get out on the winter and catch a few. Once I found them I caught them quick. Holding between 15 and 20 feet. I will know where to start the next warm day we have.

Went on 9-15. Caught 12 Largemouth but all were under 2 lbs. Great little lake. The launch ramp and facilities are poor but the state promises repairs and a \'fix up\' this winter.

Went there 9-15-12. Caught twelve small largemouth bass in about 6 hours. Most were in 6 to 10 ft. near the cover on the banks. Another note: The boat launch ramp is terrible. It needs to be reworked. If you do take your boat, you will not find a decent area to park your vehicle and trailer. There is no bait shop or boat rental as stated. be sure to lock your vehicle. This is not a resort area.

We came to Willisburg for the first time a week ago. Since then we have been back 4 more times. Mangement has been more then helpful. The other people fishing also have been very friendly. Very relaxed and fun to fish. Militray friendly. The fishing was great with good size fish. We really feel that we have found our spot! Thank-you

I am Randy Hall from winchester ky . I fished the lake two weeks ago . We caught 14 total legal size bass . Big fish two pounds . Caught several more smaller . Caught them all on curly tail purple worm shallow light sinker . I love the lake
