Catfish fishing is excellent on minnows in the coves where they are feeding on bass fry. Nice 3-4 lbs channel cats caught on the southwest corner near DJ\'s Rock Creek marina (one of the only places with a working boat ramp still). Be sure to net your own bait or buy before you get here as they are out of minnows at DJ\'s. Largemouth fishing is slow as weeds and cover are starting to go away as the lake returns to normal levels. Crappie are being caught on purple jigs.

Fishing is slow for largemouths as the water is receding and weeds/cover is changing for the worse. Deep cranks are the only thing producing. Walleye are being caught on the dam fairly regularly. Catfish is starting to pick up.

Fishing was pretty slow last weekend. Caught a few nice crappie, but a lot of work for each fish. Water temperature around 50-55 in different parts of the lake.

North end of the lake was close to 60 degrees. Cove on the east end was only 56 degrees with the main body around 54-55. Feeder creek on south side was 58-60 degrees. Saw a few small bass in the shallows. First time this year. Saw shad and minnows popping on the south side. No luck on cranks, jigs, or salamanders.

This is for 3/15/15. The water temp was 55 on the launch and main body. Up in the coves and shallower water, it was as high as 61. Tried fishing cranks, jerks, spinners, plastic and jigs for largemouth. Got skunked. Lots of fishermen out and lake was a little croweded.

Fishing was ok. Boated one 5 lb wiper and brought another up to the boat. Water temp was 47 degrees at the north end and 54 degrees at the south end up the creek. Water level was higher than normal with the dam overflowing the entire length.
