This is private property. You cannot go fishing here. My husband and I drove to Bear Garden Swamp only to find a locked gate with a bunch of signs.

Fishing is good on Allatoona. There are fish mid-lake and at the Allatoona creek arm. In the early morning we have seen some top water. We are catching a few with shad imitation jerk baits when they are on top. Flat- lines and down lines are working depending on the depth of the fish. We have seen some huge schools of hybrids. When these fish pass underneath the boat doubles have been a common occurrence. This week has been great for big stripers as well. Fishing on Allatoona will only improve into April. As the water temp increases. This is my favorite time to be on Allatoona, the hybrids are fattening up and feeding well for the spawn. Here are some pictures of fish caught this weekend with some of my favorite ladies. Visit my site www.gettinluckyfishing.com Call me at 678- 634-3408 to get hooked up. We have a couple open dates in March. We are offering morning and afternoon trips. See you on the water.

Striper fishing is good. The lake level is rising and we may be at full pool soon. The key to catching Stripers continues to be Herring on free lines and planner boards over 20 to 30 foot flats half way back in the creeks early in the morning. While you are pulling bait keep one person on the front deck casting a Captain Mack\'s 3/8 oz buck tail jig. Keep your eyes open for Stripers rolling on Thread Fin Shad. Keep a spinning rod with a small hook and a weighted float available to cast a small bait at any rolling fish you find. As the day progresses weight your lines with one to three split shots and work your way out to the creek channel over a 50 to 70 foot bottom. Drop a couple of down rods over the side and keep them just over the bait. You should be fishing over bait. Do not bother fishing if you are not marking bait on your Lowrance. Move until you find bait. There are fish in every creek with high concentrations of bait. The Umbrella rig bite has slowed and will probably remain that way until the water temperature climbs above 50 degrees. Flat Creek, Balus Creek, Mud Creek, Six Mile Creek and any of the creeks with a high concentration of bait are all good places to start. Consider fishing a creek you do not typically fish and one that does not get a lot of pressure. This is where you are going to find the bigger fish.

When it comes to Rainbow Trout you don\'t want to use a fly and get in the water. For the beat chance at a Rainbow at Dockery, you\'re going to want to slap on a white grub, stay about 5 feet below the surface and reel slowly to give the fish a chance to attack it. The rainbow average about 15 inches and a pound or two

Caught 11 black male crappie last week when it warmed up a few days; caught one female full of eggs. Spawn is soon. All fish were 1 to 1.5 lbs and made for a great supper/expect to catch lots of fish in the next couple of weeks if the weather warms.

Fishing is very good right now. The fish are in the river channel and creeks mouths from the Browns Bridge to the damn. Trolling lead core 7 to 9 colors out with a 1oz jigs is a great way to catch some fish and find schools to drop a live herring on a down rod.
