Went fishing on the Grand River by the blue bridge, 11 to 2pm,caught one 6lb blue one 8lb channel both caught on fresh cut shad. Granted not the greatest but least we caught something.

We've gone out fri ,sat,sun from 4 til 12 - 2am last 3 weeks. Four people fishing with a variety of baits. Caught one 4lb blue against the bank at 1am on shrimp. Water levels really high,bait fish are plentiful and mayflies are the all you can eat buffet. Water is really warm and murky with floating debris. We will be out there again tomorrow. Wish us luck we need it.

The Hybrid/Striper(Wipers) fishing is about as good as it gets right now. Lots of decent fish being caught on shad. Most are in the 4 to 7lb range. Downlines and freelines with split shot in 30 to 35ft of water. Having 40 and 50 fish days.
