Farrinfton lake has some great crappie fishing. While most are in the 4-8 inch range, I caught many in the 10 -15 range. My favorite rig is a 2 inch fin-s in \"Rainbow\" on a 1/32 or 1/16 ounce jig. When fishing from one of the bridges (Church Lane or Washington Ave.) I make a loop cast under the bridge and very slowly retreive the jig. The idea is to get as far under the bridge as you can. I catch crappies all year long as long as there\'s no ice. In the winter it must be a very, very slow retrieve, letting the jig go as deep as possible.

August 23rd, 2015 - Lake Musconetcong
Report By : Guest Fishing Rating : 1 Water Temperature : 0
This lake has taken a hit in recent years as an infestation of waterchestnuts had taken over. This year I noticed that the weeds were less adoundant so i am assumming that it was sprayed with something... the fish are still existent however the population has gone way down and will take a few years to re populate.
