Went out last weekend and caught a few mud-cat,then caught a couple of nice channels(12 & 2 lbs.) this lake is an excellent catfishing lake and the pressure is low, being that most anglers seem to go after bass. On this lake when they are turned on you can catch them about everywhere,I caught mine in 6 ft. of water using shrimp, crawlers and chicken liver. On that particular evening they were hitting the liver, although I prefer Turkey liver because it is stronger and bloodier.Good luck, the "FISHIN' MAGICIAN"

Jan 2010 Fishing Report by Russ McVey's Guide Service: With all the recent rain and the State closing the gates, guess what? The lake is full of water and there are areas that are fishable. The bass are biting pretty good right now. To catch the ones holding on the Cypress trees, try a Black Blue Tru-Tungsten jigs tipped with a matching Bass Pro craw worm or a Texas rigged black-red or black-blue flake creature baits rigged with a 3/16 oz.
