Fishing is best when there is little to no wind present. Catching Largemouth and Smallmouth on both East and West shorelines. Rainbows have gone deeper since the weather warmed up. It's hit or miss at the boat launches.

Been catching limits of walleye using 1/8 jig and white 2" twister tails. Often late at night (9-11 pm) over sandy/rocky areas. Good luck!

Been limiting out on stripers in the warm water with live bait. Also been tearing up the walleye on the proven spawning grounds on the dam and rocky points (windblown usually) using shad raps and dark colored jigs. Can't wait for the 50 degree water to start showing up and the fishing to really start turning on!!!!!!!! Good Luck...

Sounds crazy, but have been catching longnose gar in the spillway outlet. Biggest one I've seen (and caught) was 50 inches and weighed 12.2 lbs. Have seen about 10 caught in the same area, using jigs and live minnows. I Invite anyone to catch as many of the bait eaters as possible. Good luck.

Done with cold weather here in Kansas. La Cygnes is still pretty cold. Some bass can be taken at the hot water outlet and a couple other places around the lake.
