my husband and i went kayak fishing this past weekend and between use caught 16 largemouth bass mostly on crank baits and jerk baits. only one was over 15 inches. the best thing was the bald eagles that repeatedly glided just above my head.

Fished for crappie today with no luck even though it was calm and overcast. Recent rains and cold weather have lake levels up and water temp down. We were having better luck 2 weeks ago. I would imagine after this next week with forecasted temps in the 70s that the crappie will turn on again.
