Went out last night July 20th and caught a five pound catfish on Artificial Worm, and Crappie Niblets. No weights, just throw it out there and let it slowly sink. Once the moon disseapeared it was crazy action!

Trout fishing on May 12 was good during peak lunar time at the north end of lake, had limit in less than 2 hours. We used worms and crank bait, both worked well with the winner going to the worms. Caught several from past stocking efforts. Dock fishermen were catching their share, casting out with a bobber.

I have been fishing at Hauser lake the last couple weeks. Crappie are biting on all kinds of small jigs, and small flash jigs. Putting up great fights, and are in shallow water close to docks.

Slow on bass and crappie. Catfish are biting like crazy come dark. Perch and sunfish are easy to catch on a calm day.

Fishing for Pike is slow. Find shallow weedy areas were smaller bait fish are found. Fish a depth about 3-10 foot. This should turn up a pike or two. Fish slow using suspending rapala type baits. Buck tail spinners seem effective now.

We have been to the lake a few times this year and have caught a couple bass and a trout. Caught the bass on crank baits fishing pretty slow with some pauses. Caught the Rainbow on a smaller Rapala fishing it the same way. The trout had a bunch of minnows in it so it seemed to be feeding pretty well. The trout gave a great fight. Make sure there is some orange on the crank baits.
