Warming weather has sure made the fishing here on Guntersville Lake a lot more enjoyable. The fishing has been pretty tough the last couple of weeks. We have finally started to come out of the deep-freeze and the bass bite is starting pick up a little. I fished a B.A.I.T. tournament last Saturday with a good friend. The bite was slow but we did manage to catch the only 5 fish limit of the tournament. Our fish weighed 14 lb 9 oz. Second place was a little over 9 pounds. We also had big fish, 4lb 6 oz. That is some pretty tough numbers for Guntersville. For the rest of Michael Seeley Lake Guntersville Guide fishing report go to http://www.reelreports.com/ice-has-melted-on-guntersville-12124.html
The warm days are moving the bass up on the flats, and fishing is picking up everyday. There is still a little deeper cold water to deal with but we are seeing a move to pre-spawn and the best days are ahead! When the deeper water starts to warm rattle bait fishing will be on and you’ll just have to reel and hold on!
This past week we saw some definite change to the better, the bass are moving up during the warm parts of the day and we took advantage of it a few days this past week, boating some good numbers and some good size bass.
