Caesar Creek Lake Walleye Tips:
Walleye Tips for Current Conditions:
Walleye will be starting to get a little slower in this water temperature. With walleye being a cold water fish, they will start becoming fairly lethargic in this water. With the fish slowing down the fishing will be more difficult to find and coax into biting. However they will be feeding and the walleye bite should still be good. This time of year is a good time to fall back to live bait as standard practice for the best bet at numbers and size of fish.

As a bank fisher I have noticed a vast population of drum,4 out of 6 fish I catch are drum and the other two bites are turtles. I have fished the same spot now for three years, the first year (2007) I would catch a nice variety from white bass, small mouth, large mouth, perch using night crawlers and minnows. What is up with the turtles and drum?

Waded up Anderson's Fork with a buddy. Caught 4 Channel Cats, all in about the 1-3 lbs, 2 Drums, on one about 13" and one 18", 2 White Bass one 10" and one 13", and one small shad and sucker. I have found that during the Spring White Bass spawning, fish up in the rivers with, and I repeat, any basic Rapala lure. Catfish are now at this point on nest and therefore hard to catch. Muskie are the key and future of this lake, and once you catch one, it seems like you automatically figure it out. It's just making that first catch. Ceaser Creek Lake is a lake of knowledge and patience, with a good future of good fishing

Caesar Creek Lake Solar and Lunar Conditions
Current Lunar Fishing Tip:
The affects of the moon on freshwater fish and game are at a minimum right now. There will be a new moon coming up here in a few days. The fisherman should never use this as an excuse to not get on the water. The affects of the moon can only enhance the outcome of a day's fishing not decrease potential catch for today. On days without the new or full moon, all other factors including weather, barometric pressure, wind and cloud cover will make up today's equation for success.
