Stockton Lake offers countless recreation opportunities which include all aspects of water sports – boating, swimming, fishing, scuba diving, etc. to camping, and other outdoor activities such as wildlife observation, hiking, and an equestrian trail for the horseback riding enthusiast. The Corps of Engineers has developed eight parks for public recreation. The Missouri Department of Natural Resources and two private concessionaires provides additional camping facilities. Recreation areas include boat ramps, courtesy docks, campgrounds, picnic areas, beaches and playgrounds. Three marina concession facilities provide a full range of services and restaurants.
