Crappie fishing is sometimes at its best with the water temperature down this low. Crappie will be in large schools and follow the large shad schools around in extremely deep water. Find the deepest parts of your lake in old river channels and scan your graph for schooling shad. The fishing was good my dad and I whent, and the temp was warm but I do not no the water temp. We got alot of bites we were using night crawlers and power bait but this was befor the storm so I do not know how it is now we got 6 trout, warning the cray fish are geting active we got 5 of them but over all good fishing.
