Remember the game and fish don\'t want catch and release on strippers. Take all of them with
you. They are great eating, very mild not fishy at all if prepared right. In my family we like them
breaded with zanatrans fish fry found in any store and fried in a little peanut oil. We like to fillet
thems.

"Knocked Em Dead! My Borther and I caught 63 Striper last night just within a half mile of the boat launch! 10+ were in the 3-5 lb range. Caught and released most. Did bring a few home that swallowed the hooks. Will be my first time eating Striper tonight, wish me luck. Only our second time out on the lake, but we seem to have found a pattern. We used sumbrsible lights right off the side of the boat, starting at sunset. Plankton, minnows and shad were circling light within the hour. Surrounded by baitfish, we used Big Toe size chunks of anchovies on bait hooks with a carolina rig. Sink your rig straight down until you hit bottom, and then begin a slow rise until you find the depth where they are suspending. Fast action from there on out. Very light bite. Must keep slack out of your line or you'lll lose your bait in a second. Have to be ready to set the hook on first strike. Please consider future fishing in the lake! I have 2 boys 3 & 5yrs, lets keep our lake full of fish and throw back those lunkers for future generations! Support Catch and release! Cheers! Corona Bob Shannon"

"Went fishing on northwest cove yesterday. Fish didn't seem to be biting at all even though they were very active after dark. Tried using spinners, crankbait, worms, and anchovies. Few nibbles and nothing caught. Oh well. Try again another day."
