Beaver Lake:Northwest Arkansas abounds with a diversity of fishing opportunities. Beaver Lake has more than 28,000 surface acres of water. Just below the dam, the bone-chilling waters of the upper White River provides perfect habitat for pole-bending rainbow and record-size German brown trout. The lake itself provides year-round fishing pleasure for adventurous anglers who can try their luck at catching large and small-mouth bass, crappie, bream, white bass, stripers, and channel or spoon-bill catfish. Each year, millions of fingerling game fish from the Blackburn Creek Nursery Pond are released into the clear, blue waters by the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. The first on-site rearing pond in this area, the Blackburn Creek Pond, is the workplace for fishery biologists and other specialists in the field who work hard to keep Beaver Lake in the forefront of fish production. - When larhemouth bass fishing in overcast conditions try jerking a weightless silver fluke on the
top the water around brush. WORKS EVERY TIME.
Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
75 degrees in in the largemouth bass prime water temperature range and fishing should be good right now. Baitfish are much more active in this water temperature and the largemouth bass will be feeding aggressively throughout the day. This is a great time of year to be on the water.

- rite now is prime time for the ol dookie fish to start bitin. if you catch one kill it. those damn things taste like pure schit

Smallmouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Smallmouth bass fishing is going to be pretty slow at this water temperature. Bass will typically start moving much slower and feeding less aggressive until the water temperature starts to get back down to comfortable levels. When the water temperature is up this high, get out fishing early and late and cast in the shallows. When the sun is up it will be time to get out into deeper water, try fishing some drop offs and deep channel bends.

Beaver Lake Crappie Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- Crappie are holding close to main lake coves. I have also found them on main lake points around 10 to 13 feet. They are holding close to rip rap and isolated stumps in flat regions. Main colors are solid white or chartruse.
Crappie Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Crappie prefer this water temperature and will be actively feeding and staying in solid patterns. Baitfish are more active and schooling in all parts of the lake in this water temperature.
Beaver Lake Walleye Fishing

Beaver Lake Walleye Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- Walleye are not an easy catch, but this time of year they become a little more predictable. Find a school
of baitfish in 20-30 FOW and look for a telltale walleye arc or "christmas tree" below and you have found a
school of feeding eyes.

Lead core line and the silver river rockers have been good, wiggle warts, and pointer minnows too.

If you can't mark any that way, work brush piles in 20-30 FOW with a Silver or gold Spoon, a Sonar or a
Darter.

Walleye Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Walleye will be starting to get a little slower in this water temperature. With walleye being a cold water fish, they will start becoming fairly lethargic in this water. With the fish slowing down the fishing will be more difficult to find and coax into biting. However they will be feeding and the walleye bite should still be good. This time of year is a good time to fall back to live bait as standard practice for the best bet at numbers and size of fish.

Beaver Lake Solar and Lunar Conditions
Current Lunar Fishing Tip:
The crescent moon will have better gravitational pull than a gibbous or half moon. However the affects of the moons gravitational will be decreased since the sun and moon aren't pulling in conjunction with one another. It's time to pay close attention to the other fishing factors in the weather to make the best decision for hitting the water.
