Crappie Tips for Current Conditions:
Crappie fishing is sometimes at its best with the water temperature down this low. Crappie will be in large schools and follow the large shad schools around in extremely deep water. Find the deepest parts of your lake in old river channels and scan your graph for schooling shad. When you find the school, drop your plastics or live bait down to the bottom of the shad and get ready. Many crappie fishermen will be catching awesome numbers and size of fish this time of year. If you are brave enough to get out on the water this time when the water temperature is this cold, it can really pay off. Be careful out there, remember to boat safely. Never take any chances at these temperatures.

fishing was slow most of the weekend for crappie done with spawn and not schooling yet moving to deeper water structure just not there yet caught fish in 6 to 12 feet of water took most of the weekend to catch stringer full

- Have been doing well off the sand bars at night,casting shrimp 12 to 15 ft out.
Catfish Tips for Current Conditions:
The catfish family comprises of blue catfish, flathead catfish and channel catfish. Since catfish are warm water fish, they aren’t going to be very active in this water temperature. They will still be feeding, but catfish will only be found very deep and feeding very slowly. Your best bet is give some of the more active fish species in your lake a shot until the cats are active again.

"Catfish are biting whatever, as always, in the creek channels and on the deep side of humps. Big bait and big hooks for big fish. The weather is still a bit warm and causes oneself mild hallucinations when exposed to direct sunlight for 30 mins plus. Bimini Fund contributions are welcome."

Chanell cats r extremely great at cherokee landing from seven pm till three am biting
chicken liver rolled in strawberry koolaid powder .... High fin blue cats are biting hard
best year ive had catching this many big blues on rod n reel they r in twenty plus feet up
to forty foot of water use big shrimp average blues were catching is five to.eight pounds
caught several twelve to sixteen.pound blues rod an reel fishing all caught on big shrimp

The fisherman should never use this as an excuse to not get on the water. The affects of the moon can only enhance the outcome of a day's fishing not decrease potential catch for today. On days without the new or full moon, all other factors including weather, barometric pressure, wind and cloud cover will make up today's equation for success.
