Clendening Lake is located in Harrison County, Ohio on the Brushy Fork of the Stillwater Creek, 1/2 mile east of Tippecanoe, Ohio, and 9 miles southeast of Uhrichsville, Ohio. Clendening Lake was constructed primarily for flood control, recreation, fish and wildlife management. Clendening Dam is a rolled earth fill with impervious core, 65 feet high, 3,700 feet long, with a top width of 20 feet, and a base width of 460 feet. The recreation facilities at Clendening Lake are administered by the Muskingum Watershed Conservancy. For tours of Clendening Dam, Intake Structure, and Flood Control Facilities contact the Project Supervisor @ (740) 658-3743. Restrooms are provided at the Clendening Lake Day Use Area on a seasonal basis (April – October).
