Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
At 57 degree water temperature largemouth bass fishing is in pre-spawn now. It's time to get fishing. Female bass are going to be moving up to the spawning beds. Male largemouth bass will be starting to build the spawning nests in protected coves. Bass prefer to spawn in weedy and woody cover deep in coves that will be protected from the wind and other elements. This is the best time to catch the lake record bass. The female bass will be feeding until they reach the beds and start the spawn. The smaller male bass will be attacking lures also. It is on like donkey kong!!! Hit the water NOW, we can?t believe you are reading this and not fishing right now. GET OUT!!

Smallmouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
With the water temperature at 57 degrees smallmouth bass fishing is ready to heat up for spring. The bass will be starting to move into their spawning area. Smallmouth bass will generally spawn on rock and gravel bottoms that are protected from the elements. It's time to get fishing and look for staging bass in deeper water.

Belews Lake Crappie Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Crappie Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Crappie should be getting ready to spawn. Stay out in deeper water and look for schools. Schooling shad will be harder to find with this water temperature so when you find it, stay on it. Crappie schools will be breaking up quite a bit getting ready for the spawn. Also try fishing shallower with small crank baits and spinners on the warm banks with direct sunlight. This is a great time to be on the water.

Belews Lake Walleye Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- Wou won't find any walleye in this lake. Water temperatures are far to warm for them.
Walleye Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The walleye are coming off of the spawn now. Fish will be feeding very more aggressive making up for lost time eating during the spawn. Walleye will start moving back to their typical structure of choice and should be getting into the lake flats and deep structure. It?s time to hit the water. This may be the best water temperature to be on the water. There shouldn?t be too many fishermen on the water this early and there are many species that are hitting their prime water temperatures to be biting very well. Have fun today!

Belews Lake Catfish Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- I found a catfish hole at the lat/long listed below. Every time we have hit this spot this summer, we would pull out at least 2-3 white catfish. Rig up a jig with a live worm and let it sit on the floor, jigging the bait every now and then.

If you see a bunch of bluegills hanging out around your boat, add an extra sinker to your line to get the bait out of reach before they steal your worm. They are really aggressive and quick here.

Most of the catfish I have caught here have been 18+ inches long and I've let them all go, so hopefully they'll be bigger next season!

Catfish Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The catfish family comprises of blue catfish, flathead catfish and channel catfish. Since catfish are warm water fish, they arenít going to be very active in this water temperature. They will still be feeding, but catfish will only be found very deep and feeding very slowly. Your best bet is give some of the more active fish species in your lake a shot until the cats are active again.

Belews Lake Solar and Lunar Conditions
Current Lunar Fishing Tip:
The full moon has just past. The gravitational pull is starting to decrease with the moon and sun being on opposite sides of the planet. Watch the peak fishing times and make sure you are on the water during that part of the day to take full advantage of today's solar/lunar peaks. It's always fun trying something new at the peak times to change things up a bit and test out the Lunar Theory each time you hit the water in close to full and full moon situations. Good luck you there.
