I tried to fish at Briones, but the Rangers caught me since this area is closed to fishing. I got a t $250.00 trespassing ticket and they seized my tiny little crappie that I caught there. Don't do it, you'll get busted.

Crappie should be getting ready to spawn. Stay out in deeper water and look for schools. Schooling shad will be harder to find with this water temperature so when you find it, stay on it.
