- try using a kosher dill pickle texas rigged on a 5/0 gomakatsu it did wonders for me good luck

Largemouth bass fishing is going to be slow with the water temperature at 41 degrees. If you have a chance to get out on the water, you are going to have to fish deep and slow. Jig fishing and Plastic baits may be your best bet this time of year for largemouth bass. You may also try fishing some sinking jerk baits.

Crappie Tips for Current Conditions:
Crappie fishing is sometimes at its best with the water temperature down this low. Crappie will be in large schools and follow the large shad schools around in extremely deep water. Find the deepest parts of your lake in old river channels and scan your graph for schooling shad. When you find the school, drop your plastics or live bait down to the bottom of the shad and get ready. Many crappie fishermen will be catching awesome numbers and size of fish this time of year. If you are brave enough to get out on the water this time when the water temperature is this cold, it can really pay off. Be careful out there, remember to boat safely. Never take any chances at these temperatures.

Caught a few crappie last week from there...I was on my boat and casting some crappie jig
and caught like 5...I rembmer this place was the bomb of catching crappie but now and days
it is so slow and barely any left..They should restock crappie and catfish in seco because
there is like barely any left...All I catch now and days there are lmb and trout...

The catfish family comprises of blue catfish, flathead catfish and channel catfish. Since catfish are warm water fish, they aren’t going to be very active in this water temperature. They will still be feeding, but catfish will only be found very deep and feeding very slowly. Your best bet is give some of the more active fish species in your lake a shot until the cats are active again.

Rancho Seco Reservoi Spotted Bass Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- We went to Rancho Seco on Saturday, April 2nd for the annual Trout Derby Day and it was lots of
fun just getting out - we caught (1) 1/2 lb Bass but saw lots of people catching larger Bass - the
Bass were only going for lures - we saw lots of Trout caught and heard they were going for either
Rainbow Power Bait or fly lures - we fished from before sunup to after sunset - had our best luck,
as did others, on the backside or remote parts of the lake with bigger fish getting caught in inlets or
on open lake deep water

6/22/12 went out around 1pm was really windy and chilly today for summer.
about 80 degrees. walked the whole north side fishing each cove. saw alot of
bass but none were biting, about 4:30 started fishing the dam and caught a
large mouth on a popper. was about 1-1.5lbs

6-10-12. Water was warm. 2pm-730pm. Used a size 4 and 5 offset hook with senkos.
Pumpkin, purple with emerald, white with silver flakes, crawdads - black with red flakes,
horney toads, spooks - trout, bass, white. No luck! I exhausted myself. No hits all day. It\'s
was still fun.

The full moon has just past. The gravitational pull is starting to decrease with the moon and sun being on opposite sides of the planet. Watch the peak fishing times and make sure you are on the water during that part of the day to take full advantage of today's solar/lunar peaks. It's always fun trying something new at the peak times to change things up a bit and test out the Lunar Theory each time you hit the water in close to full and full moon situations. Good luck you there.
