Puddingstone Reservo Largemouth Bass Tips:
- trout were jest stalked last week and seem to be lingering in coves.
Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions:
Largemouth bass fishing is going to be pretty slow at 78 degree water temperature. Bass will start moving much slower and feeding less aggressively until the water temperature starts to get back down to comfortable levels. When the water temperature is up this high, it's time to get out fishing early and late in the day when the sun is not on the water. When you can get out for the entire day, it's a great time to fish some deeper water. Many large bass are taken this time of year since bass fishermen typically gets out deeper and fish slower with larger baits. Like any other time of year, the slower you fish with bigger baits on the deep drops and river channels, the better chance you have at a lunker. This is a great time to catch a trophy. Good luck out there today!

Crappie Tips for Current Conditions:
Your lake crappie will be much more lethargic in the water temperature. They will be in deeper and cooler water. Crappie will be feeding; however they will not be feeding aggressively unless the other fishing factors are at prime levels. Find some moving water that is clear and you should find some more aggressive fishing.

Sat 5/15 05:50-09:30 Overcast and a little chill due to light breeze. Had a few small hits using Captain America Powerbait w/gravy on a 16" leader under a sliding sinker(3# test). Wasnt dissapointed with the amount of actoin during this time period. But was feeling like a com plete novice after hooking up w/ something that was determined, it seemed, to spool me. Didnt get to see the species but by all indications most probably was a cat. 5-7 lb. range maybe slightly more. About 7 mins. of fun with it, just to get it turned around and semi-close, for it to let me know that it hadnt made a date with a frying pan just yet, and was nice enough to give me my hook back. This was on same rig using Powerdough chartreuse sparkle w/Gravym Wont say where, cause I'm goin back this evening! Let ya know how it turns out! JD

Read the report of 3/25. Planned on getting out earlier in the day, but could not make it out until about 5:30pm. I found the bass to be in cooperative mood. I swung and missed a couple of times, but walked away with a nice 5 pound plus fish knowing he had lost a battle.

Went yesterday for a couple hours. It started raining as soon as I showed up, but made a nice trip for fishing. Lots of bass in shallows around lots of weeds and calm quiet water. Landed about 2-2pounders and 2-1pounders using a clear Storm 3" swim shad w/curly tail. Lots of bites on NE side of lake between dams.
Puddingstone Reservo Solar and Lunar Conditions
Current Lunar Fishing Tip:
The affects of the moon on freshwater fish and game are at a minimum right now. There will be a new moon coming up here in a few days. The fisherman should never use this as an excuse to not get on the water. The affects of the moon can only enhance the outcome of a day's fishing not decrease potential catch for today. On days without the new or full moon, all other factors including weather, barometric pressure, wind and cloud cover will make up today's equation for success.
