May not have any trout in the lake, but the river below the lake does!! Last 2 weekends the Troutman has taken 10 trout 12 to 15.5 inches, rolling powerbait off the bottom in fast water. The trout have grown several inches from ther stocking size. And due to the warming temperatures some have migrated back to the dam.

Lewisville Lake Largemouth Bass Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- I have been killing it using plastic worms at night all week. Fishing during the day has been slower, and need to stick casts closer to cover. During the showers we have had this week, I have been getting bit every other cast after the sun has been down for a couple hours. Using Watermelon Red Flake color.

Crappie Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The crappie should be very aggressive and feeding well. Feeding should be very heavy right now especially in the morning and evenings and Spawn Should be really fueled up with some fish on their beds currently and actively doing their business. Focus fishing in the upper half and ends of the tributary arms. Best thing this time of year is to fish a little faster with throwing cranking jigs and small crappie crank baits utilizing and fishing different depths until you find a good concentration of fish. Start at the mouths of the arms and work your way back to the shallow spawning areas and fish hard and fast until you find them. Try finding some shallow ditches coming off the channels and heading to shallow spawning areas. On Sunny or warmer days hit those shallow areas hard. NOW IS THE TIME LADIES AND GENTLEMEN, IT IS ON!!
Lewisville Lake Catfish Rating:

Lewisville Lake Catfish Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- Live bait has been working. I have been using perch while drifting close to the lakeview marina in the deepest parts. I have also been testing the depths with live shad on a trot line and the cats are still feeding from top to bottom.
Catfish Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The catfish family comprises of blue catfish, flathead catfish and channel catfish. Since catfish are warm water fish, they arenít going to be very active in this water temperature. They will still be feeding, but catfish will only be found very deep and feeding very slowly. Your best bet is give some of the more active fish species in your lake a shot until the cats are active again.

Current Lunar Fishing Tip:

New Moon fishing can be at its best. The gravitational pull on the earth is at its peak when the moon and sun are rising and setting at the same time of day. This combination can generate extraordinary fishing opportunities especially if combined with perfect weather variances. The new moon may have the fish extremely aggressive and actively hunting for food. Try fishing a little faster today and with several different baits and techniques. When fish are more aggressive, its always fun to fish a little more aggressive. Watch the peak fishing times and make sure you are on the water during that part of the day to take full advantage of today?s solar/lunar peaks. Have a great day!
