Went to clear fork off highway 377 this morning at 0730 Tuesday March 31,2015. Only sporadic carp top water. Did not catch any game fish. Water level too shallow for spawn, but fairly clear. Need a good rain to bring water level up.

Black bass fishing is good to excellent. Late in the evening is your best time of day. Start out in the mouths of the creeks and work your way back. Lake is at full level and slot of brush that grew while the lake was down is now under water. Log jams and trees that have fallen in or drifted in to the creeks are holding fish. Fish slow with a light Texas rigged greenpumkin lizard. Tail dipped in char truce dye. Or slow roll a double willow leaf gold spinnerbait. Char truce and white skirt with a char truce grub as a trailer. A stinger hook is a good bet for short strikers. Heavy line is recommended....Dan

- Mid February slow roll spinnerbaits in the mouth of all creeks. Be patient the bass are there. Late
in the day is the most active bite. Double willow leaf gold blades with a white and char truce skirt.
Add a char truce grub trailer with a stinger hook for short stickers. Large line is recommended. This
lake has ten pounders. Good luck.
Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Largemouth bass fishing is going to be pretty slow at 82 degree water temperature. Bass will start moving much slower and feeding less aggressively until the water temperature starts to get back down to comfortable levels. When the water temperature is up this high, it's time to get out fishing early and late in the day when the sun is not on the water. When you can get out for the entire day, it's a great time to fish some deeper water. Many large bass are taken this time of year since bass fishermen typically gets out deeper and fish slower with larger baits. Like any other time of year, the slower you fish with bigger baits on the deep drops and river channels, the better chance you have at a lunker. This is a great time to catch a trophy. Good luck out there today!

- only three jig colors work the best for me any type of cloudy day I will use chart.head and body w/black tail or chart. head and tail w/lt.blue body. when there is more sun/no clouds.I will use a red head, cream or white body and chart tail.I fish from three feet to twenty five feet and constantly catch crappie and sand bass.I fish from a p.a 12 kayak in colder weather fish with pinks and natural colors and work all jigs slllooowwwly . I do tie my own jigs so I can figure out what to use. 1/16 or 1/8 oz. are the sizes. If you have any more specific questions just ask and I help you the best I can at cpfishin@gmail.com GOD BLESS.
Crappie Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Your lake crappie will be much more lethargic in the water temperature. They will be in deeper and cooler water. Crappie will be feeding; however they will not be feeding aggressively unless the other fishing factors are at prime levels. Find some moving water that is clear and you should find some more aggressive fishing.

Catfish Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Unlike most North American fish species, blue catfish, flathead and channel catfish are comfortable when the water temperature is this high. They will be feeding and moving in typical patterns. You will start having a little better luck if you can get to some moving water that is adding a little more oxygen for the baitfish and the catfish will be there also.

Current Lunar Fishing Tip:

New Moon fishing can be at its best. The gravitational pull on the earth is at its peak when the moon and sun are rising and setting at the same time of day. This combination can generate extraordinary fishing opportunities especially if combined with perfect weather variances. The new moon may have the fish extremely aggressive and actively hunting for food. Try fishing a little faster today and with several different baits and techniques. When fish are more aggressive, its always fun to fish a little more aggressive. Watch the peak fishing times and make sure you are on the water during that part of the day to take full advantage of today?s solar/lunar peaks. Have a great day!
