Water Temperature:
The Lake is frozen over with about 1/2 inch thick ice. Any attemp to venture out onto the lake is foolhardy. Rainbows were introdued into the lake on 12/21. Fishing is difficult because of the ice. We will have to waite until the ice melts over until we get some colder weather for thicker ice.

Wallace Lake Walleye Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Walleye Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Walleye will be starting to get a little slower in this water temperature. With walleye being a cold water fish, they will start becoming fairly lethargic in this water. With the fish slowing down the fishing will be more difficult to find and coax into biting. However they will be feeding and the walleye bite should still be good. This time of year is a good time to fall back to live bait as standard practice for the best bet at numbers and size of fish.
