Goodyear Lake Largemouth Bass Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
With Goodyear Lake at 55 degree water temperature largemouth bass fishing is getting ready to ramp up. The male bass will start moving up from deep water toward spawning coves and the big ones are right behind them. This is a great time to get out on the water and try hitting some deeper primary and secondary points. The female bass will start feeding at this water temperature in preparation for spawn. The male bass may be up shallow especially on sunny afternoons. Fishing sunny spawning grounds that are receiving the warm spring time sun is a great way to get a few largemouth bass in the boat.

Goodyear Lake Smallmouth Bass Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- A GREAT LURE TO USE THIS TIME OF SUMMER IS THE ACME KASTMASTER. IF FISHERMAN DONT KNOW WHAT IT IS, A KASTMASTER IS A SPOON, ITS NOT CUPPED LIKE A DAREDEVIL, BASICALLY A PRETTY STRAIGHT SLAB OF METAL. THEY COME IN DIFFERENT WEIGHTS & COLORS, I USUALLY USE JUST NICKLE AND GOLD. MY FAVORITE IS A THREE EIGTH OUNCE SILVER. THEY ARE GREAT, THEY CAST A MILE, CAN BE VERTICALLY JIGGED, I USUALLY JUST CAST & CRANK EM. SO NEXT TIME YA OUT FOR SMALLIES, TIE ON A KASTMASTER, YOU WILL NOT BE SURPRISED!!
Smallmouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
With the water temperature at 55 degrees smallmouth bass fishing is ready to heat up for spring. The bass will be starting to move into their spawning area. Smallmouth bass will generally spawn on rock and gravel bottoms that are protected from the elements. It's time to get fishing and look for staging bass in deeper water.

Goodyear Lake Crappie Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Crappie Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Crappie should be getting ready to spawn. Stay out in deeper water and look for schools. Schooling shad will be harder to find with this water temperature so when you find it, stay on it. Crappie schools will be breaking up quite a bit getting ready for the spawn. Also try fishing shallower with small crank baits and spinners on the warm banks with direct sunlight. This is a great time to be on the water.

Walleye Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The walleye are coming off of the spawn now. Fish will be feeding very more aggressive making up for lost time eating during the spawn. Walleye will start moving back to their typical structure of choice and should be getting into the lake flats and deep structure. It?s time to hit the water. This may be the best water temperature to be on the water. There shouldn?t be too many fishermen on the water this early and there are many species that are hitting their prime water temperatures to be biting very well. Have fun today!

Goodyear Lake Catfish Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Catfish Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The catfish family comprises of blue catfish, flathead catfish and channel catfish. Since catfish are warm water fish, they arenít going to be very active in this water temperature. They will still be feeding, but catfish will only be found very deep and feeding very slowly. Your best bet is give some of the more active fish species in your lake a shot until the cats are active again.

Goodyear Lake Solar and Lunar Conditions
Current Lunar Fishing Tip:
The crescent moon will have better gravitational pull than a gibbous or half moon. However the affects of the moons gravitational will be decreased since the sun and moon aren't pulling in conjunction with one another. It's time to pay close attention to the other fishing factors in the weather to make the best decision for hitting the water.
