Species: Largemouth Bass
Fishing Rating: 1
Water Temperature: 78
Not so much a bass report but more so a chain pickerel report. I fished 2 days for bass with no luck. I did catch several chain pickerel. I used weightless senkos and top water poppers. Very exciting top water action working the outside edge of the mats. I caught a 2 pounder that came out of the water about 2 feet like a missile on the initial strike. Another one ate my senko and dove straight down until my 12 pound test line snapped.... Good luck folks!!! Catch one for me...

Lake Rim Largemouth Bass Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- twilight is the best time for fishing bass. just cast a non weighted soft platic and keep it 4 inches deep bass usualy will hit it on the drop.
Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Largemouth bass fishing is going to be pretty slow at 80 degree water temperature. Bass will start moving much slower and feeding less aggressively until the water temperature starts to get back down to comfortable levels. When the water temperature is up this high, it's time to get out fishing early and late in the day when the sun is not on the water. When you can get out for the entire day, it's a great time to fish some deeper water. Many large bass are taken this time of year since bass fishermen typically gets out deeper and fish slower with larger baits. Like any other time of year, the slower you fish with bigger baits on the deep drops and river channels, the better chance you have at a lunker. This is a great time to catch a trophy. Good luck out there today!

Crappie Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Your lake crappie will be much more lethargic in the water temperature. They will be in deeper and cooler water. Crappie will be feeding; however they will not be feeding aggressively unless the other fishing factors are at prime levels. Find some moving water that is clear and you should find some more aggressive fishing.

Walleye Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
With the water temperatures up this high, the walleye will really be moving slow and feeding even slower. It will be extremely difficult to stay on fish and catch good numbers. There will be good days that you can find a good pattern and fill the live well up. The good days of walleye fishing will be fewer and farther between until the water temperature gets back down. Good luck.

Catfish Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Unlike most North American fish species, blue catfish, flathead and channel catfish are comfortable when the water temperature is this high. They will be feeding and moving in typical patterns. Current Lunar Fishing Tip:

The crescent moon will have better gravitational pull than a gibbous or half moon. However the affects of the moons gravitational will be decreased since the sun and moon aren't pulling in conjunction with one another. It's time to pay close attention to the other fishing factors in the weather to make the best decision for hitting the water.
