I\'ve been fishing Jordan since June 2015 the fall time has proven the best time for me. Chicken liver #6 circle hook and elastic thread- hand to beat them off to keep the little ones away. Oct 2015 the smaller ones weren\'t biting the water was high up about 20 feet, the big cats where biting on chicken liver we caught 6 in 2 hours ranging from 1-7 pounds, all channel cats. February nothings biting tried chicken liver worms large minnows cut bait from the bank haven\'t even seen a minnow so the cats are probably still in deep holes.

- Florida Boy, Fished Jordan for the first time ever, Saturday this past Labor day weekend and had a tough time locating fish. Caught 2 catfish around the 1 pound size, 2 white bass about hand size and one 13 inch large mouth. There was a lot of weekend worriers out to compete with. Water temp was 84 degrees, started out fishing deep water structure between 24 and 35 feet with no luck moved to shore line structure between 2 and 17 feet and thats where I caught my fish. I invite anyone to trade a trip to show me how to catch some of these fine Carolina bass for a trip to Florida. Reply to this and we\\\'ll arrange the trip.

Caught 25 or so catfish. 12-16 ft deep. Fished Jordan for years, chicken livers is always your best catfish bait. Man made baits do not work. Apex and Cary fisherman, chicken livers are hard to find at your stores. Harris Teeter keeps them in the freezer, just have to let them thaw. Good Luck

Current Lunar Fishing Tip:

The crescent moon will have better gravitational pull than a gibbous or half moon. However the affects of the moons gravitational will be decreased since the sun and moon aren't pulling in conjunction with one another. It's time to pay close attention to the other fishing factors in the weather to make the best decision for hitting the water.
