Species: Largemouth Bass
Fishing Rating: 2
Water Temperature: 69
The weeds have taken over the south side of the lake along with the inlets and from the river boat launch to the flats use caution when entering these areas, you may want to take something to help get weeds of your prop. Large mouth bass can be found in the river channel and are starting to go to shallower water. Crank baits and lures that are sub surface are the best at medium speed but bass have been taken on a hook and worm anchored in 10 to 12 feet of water.

Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
At 56 degree water temperature largemouth bass fishing is in pre-spawn now. It's time to get fishing. Female bass are going to be moving up to the spawning beds. Male largemouth bass will be starting to build the spawning nests in protected coves. Bass prefer to spawn in weedy and woody cover deep in coves that will be protected from the wind and other elements. This is the best time to catch the lake record bass. The female bass will be feeding until they reach the beds and start the spawn. The smaller male bass will be attacking lures also. It is on like donkey kong!!! Hit the water NOW, we can?t believe you are reading this and not fishing right now. GET OUT!!

- The lake has been taken over by weeds, the south side of the lake along with the inlets and river boat launch to the flats are thick with prop tangling weeds. Use caution with your motors. Crank baits that are surface or sub surface are the best if you have the patients to deal with the weeds that you bring in. 6 foot to 8 feet of water with medium speed with green or yellow colors are working this week. Again use caution with the amount of weeds this year guys are burning up trolling motors trying navigate the shore lines

Smallmouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
With the water temperature at 56 degrees smallmouth bass fishing is ready to heat up for spring. The bass will be starting to move into their spawning area. Smallmouth bass will generally spawn on rock and gravel bottoms that are protected from the elements. It's time to get fishing and look for staging bass in deeper water.

Lake Isabella Crappie Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Crappie Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Crappie should be getting ready to spawn. Stay out in deeper water and look for schools. Schooling shad will be harder to find with this water temperature so when you find it, stay on it. Crappie schools will be breaking up quite a bit getting ready for the spawn. Also try fishing shallower with small crank baits and spinners on the warm banks with direct sunlight. This is a great time to be on the water.

Lake Isabella Walleye Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Walleye Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The walleye are coming off of the spawn now. Fish will be feeding very more aggressive making up for lost time eating during the spawn. Walleye will start moving back to their typical structure of choice and should be getting into the lake flats and deep structure. It?s time to hit the water. This may be the best water temperature to be on the water. There shouldn?t be too many fishermen on the water this early and there are many species that are hitting their prime water temperatures to be biting very well. Have fun today!

Lake Isabella Catfish Tips: [ Add Tip ]
Catfish Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
The catfish family comprises of blue catfish, flathead catfish and channel catfish. Since catfish are warm water fish, they arenít going to be very active in this water temperature. They will still be feeding, but catfish will only be found very deep and feeding very slowly. Your best bet is give some of the more active fish species in your lake a shot until the cats are active again.

Current Lunar Fishing Tip:

The crescent moon will have better gravitational pull than a gibbous or half moon. However the affects of the moons gravitational will be decreased since the sun and moon aren't pulling in conjunction with one another. It's time to pay close attention to the other fishing factors in the weather to make the best decision for hitting the water.
