Fishing is good on Allatoona. There are fish mid-lake and at the Allatoona creek arm. In the early morning we have seen some top water. We are catching a few with shad imitation jerk baits when they are on top. Flat- lines and down lines are working depending on the depth of the fish. We have seen some huge schools of hybrids. When these fish pass underneath the boat doubles have been a common occurrence. This week has been great for big stripers as well. Fishing on Allatoona will only improve into April. As the water temp increases. This is my favorite time to be on Allatoona, the hybrids are fattening up and feeding well for the spawn. Here are some pictures of fish caught this weekend with some of my favorite ladies. Visit my site www.gettinluckyfishing.com Call me at 678- 634-3408 to get hooked up. We have a couple open dates in March. We are offering morning and afternoon trips. See you on the water.

"March 11, 2011 LAKE ALLATOONA IS 11.8 FEET, 50 DEGREES AND CLEAR This Lake Allatoona bass fishing guide report has been brought to you exclusively by Matt Driver from www.proanglerradio.com Bass fishing is fair to good even with the cooler weather and the heavy rains this week. The river is very stained and water level have come up. The same patterns still exist and use the shallow crank baits like the Spro Fat John in the oranges and greens. Around Red Top Mountain State Park the water is clearer. We are using the ""nasty shad"" color in the same Spro Fat John. Shallow rocks, brush piles are the best pattern and the jerk bait bite with the Spro McStick is getting better. Fish the on long points and use a slow retrieve. The jig and jig head bite will be picking real soon. “The Southern Fishing Report” By Ken Sturdivant 106 Hickory Ridge 770 889 2654 Cumming, Georgia 30040 http://www.havefunfishing.com/"

We are catching fish on swim baits, live bait fished on down lines, free lines planner boards, spoons and single buck tails. Both the north end and south end are holding good numbers of hybrids and stripers. And the best part of it is these fish are willing to eat almost anything. They are getting ready to make the spawn run and are feasting themselves before the run up the rivers. Give us a call and book your trip today."

"LAKE ALLATOONA IS 11.8 FEET, 50 DEGREES AND CLEAR This Lake Allatoona bass fishing guide report has been brought to you exclusively by Matt Driver from www.proanglerradio.com Bass fishing on Lake Allatoona is great. The crank bait bite is firing up with water temps in the high 50's and low 60s. The river is stained and lake levels are slowly rising so the fish are moving to shallow around wood a chunk rock. The afternoon bite is the best on muddy sun beat banks. Use the Spro Fat John crank bait in the spring craw color. In the clearer water down the lake the jerk bait bit is good for number. The McStick 95 needs to be in the ghost color. "Actually went waterskiing on Sunday, 11/8/09. Water temp was 66-67. It was 75 degrees outside, so with my shorty wet suit on the water wasn't too bad. Lake was down about 7 feet though."
Allatoona Lake Largemouth Bass Rating:
2.5
Allatoona Lake Largemouth Bass Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- Very out numbered by spots but can be found in back of coves during the dog days and on points when baitfish move.
Largemouth Bass Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Largemouth bass fishing is going to be pretty slow at 82 degree water temperature. Bass will start moving much slower and feeding less aggressively until the water temperature starts to get back down to comfortable levels. When the water temperature is up this high, it's time to get out fishing early and late in the day when the sun is not on the water. When you can get out for the entire day, it's a great time to fish some deeper water. Many large bass are taken this time of year since bass fishermen typically gets out deeper and fish slower with larger baits. Like any other time of year, the slower you fish with bigger baits on the deep drops and river channels, the better chance you have at a lunker. This is a great time to catch a trophy. Good luck out there today!

Crappie Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Your lake crappie will be much more lethargic in the water temperature. They will be in deeper and cooler water. Crappie will be feeding; however they will not be feeding aggressively unless the other fishing factors are at prime levels. Find some moving water that is clear and you should find some more aggressive fishing.

Allatoona Lake Catfish Tips: [ Add Tip ]
- Keep bait at the bottom near Boat docks

Catfish Tips for Current Conditions (automated):
Unlike most North American fish species, blue catfish, flathead and channel catfish are comfortable when the water temperature is this high. They will be feeding and moving in typical patterns. You will start having a little better luck if you can get to some moving water that is adding a little more oxygen for the baitfish and the catfish will be there also.
