Key Water Temperatures

Stripers typically will start spawning when the water starts reaching the mid 50's to lower 60's. Striper Bass are most active when the water temperatures is between 63deg and 76deg. Above 80deg, the activety starts to decrease. In late fall when the water temp dips below 50 the activety falls off.
Food Source

Striper Bass main diet sourse comes from fish such as minnows and shad. They are known for their pack feeding behavior, the striper school will surround a large school of bait fish and feed extremely aggresively until the bait fish move on.


Growth Patterns

Stripers will grow extremely fast and will often reach up to 10lbs in around 5 years.
